miscellaneous lore.Personal reference for mun, but please enjoy if you read.Raziel's parents divorced during his second year of high school. His mother moved to Wuhan shortly after. He lived with his paternal uncle (still in Shanghai) until graduation while his father navigated this new life path.The name Raziel (pronounced Raz-eye-elle) was bestowed upon him in 2022 when the gods first came to him. He does not have a preference between Raziel and Jingyuan.He graduated from Wuhan University with a degree in landscape architecture.Has a fear of bugs (he is working on it).Struggles with feeling manly enough, but not in the toxic masculinity way. Together, Raziel and the god, stealthed as a teaching assistant and philosophy professor respectively, continue to appease the Shénguān and abide by their laws.But as above… so below.Hell intercepted him on his journey to meet the exiled god. Gave him an offer he’d be a fool to refuse. By the order of Yánluó Wáng (阎罗王), the god of death, Raziel is to ascertain the god's every plan and see to it that he is unsuccessful —— or, better yet, dead.

It was the spring of 2022 when the Shénguān took his wife. Tianyin (天音) was a prophetess sought after by many mortals and deities alike. She was a radiant beauty, kissed by the sun god himself, with a mindful brilliance that knew no literary limits. Raziel never questioned why they took her. She epitomized perfection.Every day, Raziel begged the Shénguān to let him see her, or — at the very least — allow her to speak to him through divine messages. Every day, they declined… until the heavens exiled a god to the mortal realm.The exiled god was the sole fighter against the spirits of the underworld. This divine war between Heaven and Hell, it had been ongoing for centuries. The Shénguān came before Raziel. If he vowed to serve this god & help them remain hidden among the mortals, he would be permitted to meet with Tianyin. Without hesitation, he accepted.Hell found him soon after. Their offer? Sabotage the exiled god and the Shénguān’s plan. If Raziel could turn the tides in Hell’s favor, they could ascend him into godhood and, weakened by the defeat, take over the heavens. Together, he and his wife could rule as one.
